Great Planes Shoestring – Air racer styling with a choice of power

Posted by Best R/C on Sep 27, 2009

The Great Planes Shoestring .46 GP/EP Sport ARF lets modelers choose between a wide range of 2-stroke or 4-stroke glow engines or brushless electric power. Modeled after the home-built Formula One pylon racer, the Shoestring is one of the most recognizable models around. It assembles quickly, with a 2-piece, 54″ wing, that makes it easy to transport – and painted fiberglass parts. The Shoestring features a wide sport flying envelope – from gentle to “racer” fast and extremely responsive. Instructions are included for installing a 2- or 4-stroke glow engine or a brushless electric power system, with no modifications required! A glow engine mount is included with the electric mount sold separately. All the modeler needs to do is push up the throttle and picture themselves maneuvering past the pylons to a Cleveland Air Race victory!
