Great Planes P-47 Thunderbolt – Popular WWII classic for everyone!

Posted by Best R/C on Nov 11, 2008

Great Planes’ P-47 Thunderbolt with its trim scheme directly from the 353rd Fighter Squadron, looks ready to conquer any ground target it encounters. Still a worthy competitor in AMA-sanctioned combat events when set up for glow power, a built-up appearance and an ability to also fly well with electric power broadens the P-47’s appeal immensely. The P-47 comes pre-hinged from the factory so assembly time becomes a matter of a few short hours!

  • Includes a fiberglass belly scoop that serves to keep the on-board components cool by allowing air to pass through the fuselage.
  • A Lexan belly pan acts as a skid for belly landings for modelers who choose not to attach the fixed landing gear.
  • A hatch for easy battery access should the modeler choose to build the P-47 as an electric is provided.
  • Covered in MonoKote® with a painted fiberglass cowl, the P-47 includes decals for the modeler to apply.
